Nevada City (Gold Country).

Dana Point Harbor (Orange County). 

If you’re into a splendid light display, then visit Dana Point Harbor from mid-November to early January. The lights are theme-based and are based on romantic “Merry Kiss Me” and Candy Cane Lane. Don’t forget the boat ride to wharf’s whale-watching vessels with Santa in early December.

Julian (San Diego County).

The historic gold mining town is known for its chilly nights and the warm glow of fireplaces. The annual Country Christmas celebration on Saturday after thanksgiving include 80-foot long Christmas tree. To get a view of Victorian Christmas trees, make sure to visit the Julian Tea and Cottage Arts. You can also find quilts and other local crafts during the tour of festively decorated houses.
